Clinician Cause of Death to be added to Medical Examiner Scrutiny

Multiple hospitals have expressed an interest in having a dedicated area for cause of death (as issued by hospital clinician) to be entered and available within the Medical Examiner scrutiny (in between ‘A’ forms and ‘B’ forms) - as per rough mockup example.

The intention is for this data to be completed by MEOs and for this to allow Medical Examiners easy access to the cause of death whilst carrying out their scrutiny.

Suggestion is to title the tab ‘CCOD’ (Clinician issued cause of death)

The new section will allow entry of Cause of death 1a, 2b, 1c,1d and 2 (alongside comments and remarks free text boxes) .
