Make Unused Fields Read-Only

Eden pages may include certain fields that are static and part of the product baseline but are not actively used. These fields can be safely ignored by users. Would it be possible to implement a custom configuration that permanently greys out these fields, making them read-only and preventing any data entry or selection?

Alerting funeral directors once a patient is clear

Once a patient is marked cleared an email notification is automatically sent to the appointed funeral director if listed.

Send attachments via Email

Ability to email attachments within Eden, as opposed to downloading and attaching to Outlook email

Not applicable for viewing consent

We need a ‘not applicable’ option for viewing consent. This is because sometimes its not applicable to the deceased and were having issues having to select ‘yes’ or ‘no’ in order to release.

Clinician Cause of Death to be added to Medical Examiner Scrutiny

Multiple hospitals have expressed an interest in having a dedicated area for cause of death (as issued by hospital clinician) to be entered and available within the Medical Examiner scrutiny (in between ‘A’ forms and ‘B’ forms) - as per rough mockup example. The intention is for this data to be completed by MEOs and for this to allow Medical Examiners easy access to the cause of death whilst carrying out their scrutiny. Suggestion is to title the tab ‘CCOD’ (Clinician issued cause of death) The new section will allow entry of Cause of death 1a, 2b, 1c,1d and 2 (alongside comments and remarks free text boxes) . Please feel free to comment on whether this feature would be useful, and if you have suggestions on the title and placement of the new tab.

Add Appointment Icon on Dashboards for Deceased Appointments

Add icon on the dashboards to say that there is an appointment for the deceased so the user can click to look at the appointment details.

Add a Warning message when opening a deceased record.

Add a Yes/No slider for "Enable Warning" under the "Action Required Yes/No" section. If the "Enable Warning" slider is set to "Yes," it should display a warning message with the content listed in the "Action Required Notes" every time someone opens a deceased record.

Fridge room display on read only access account

We have a read only account that displays the fridge room occupancy within our office. We need the ability to customise the key/legend that exists on that page. Ideally it would be the same symbols that appear on the deceased dashboard, but for some reason it’s completely different and cannot be changed.

Adding functionality to manage multiple implants

Implants - mandatory to select 'None' when no implant found

Make it mandatory to select 'None' when there are no implants present. (otherwise it is not clear if staff forgot to enter implant or if there is definitely no implant present)

Un-releasing deceased

Could Admins be granted the ability to ‘un-release’ deceased if they have been released in error. There is currently no way to pull an entry back to the live list as it stands.

This will function similarly to the Funeral Director section, enabling users to access this information without needing to navigate away from the deceased record to the setup page.

On dashboard, where patient name is long, it goes over two lines and appears over the name of the patient below - visually unclear. Should extend right instead, but 'tray' column is unnecessarily wide, as is 'deceased delayed reason' which is never used.

Handling of non-return of a 'Temporary Release' patient

Unreturned specimens for non-viables - offer clearer status indication

Next of Kins - first entry to default to 'Primary'

First family member entered to default to 'Primary', but allow to be reassigned later as required

The functionality will include: A new column for the Symbol will be introduced. If the Symbol is marked as "yes," it should be displayed on the dashboard whenever the deceased has this specific body condition.

Enhanced Edit Functionality for 'External' Section in Specimen Records

At the moment when edit icon is selected there is no option to update any of the details listed under the ‘External’ section such as destination, date transfer, courier number and taken by for all specimens. This feature is currently available in “Histology Specimen” tab but It would be good If this feature would be available in all Specimen Tabs.

Same surname - upgrade to 'Sounds like'

Improve same surname feature to highlight similar sounding surnames (e.g. Pearse and Pierce)

PM numbers - custom number auto generate for different PM types

Associate a specific new PM number sequence with a specific PM type. In certain situations we deal with a whole organ which is stored in one of the referral fridges. This is for a whole organ only (e.g., brain) without the deceased (i.e., the body is retained at a different mortuary and the whole organ is transferred to the our mortuary and stored in a referral fridge). Post mortems for these organs are normally registered in the Paeds/Peri dashboard in Eden but they have their own Post Mortem number format. The next PM number must usually be given in this series so that when a new 'Post Mortem Type' of "Referral - Whole Organ" is selected, the next PM number in the series is given. Currently as a workaround, the next PM Number is identified based on the highest number used previously and this is entered into the PM number before the PM type is selected. Additionally, this item must appear in the PM reports for Paeds/Peri.

Dashboard - show Funeral wishes

"Can we have an icon like the 'cleared' icon which marks the patients as Burial or Cremation so it is easily to identify at a quick glance on the dashboard. --Add new optional column in dashboard ""Funeral Wishes"" which displays selected funeral wishes option."

Have more options for Reason for Transfer (e.g. Maternity Ward - Viewing, Parents Taken Home) Have ability to record more information (e.g. multiple temporary releases; contact details of destination; property taken and property returned; patient ID check on transfer and return; ID check of person collecting; expected date of return; condition check on transfer and return; transport detail; etc.) Have ability to generate a specific form per specified reason.

Attachments

When opening an attachment to view in Eden, allow me to view only, perhaps in a new tab, without having to save the file to my downloads. It takes up a huge amount of local space on my laptop and I have to keep deleting them.

Greater ability to customise columns on dashboard: add/remove all (some are not as relevant for all users) change order of columns, change width.

Body condition checks - ability to continue to enter checks past 30 days

Portal that would allow GP surgeries to submit community death ME scrutiny notifications for hospital based MEOs and for these to feed directly into Eden MEO dashboard.

Above the ‘Refer by Email To’, please can we add a section titled ‘External Potential Learning’ with the following slider choices of Other NHS acute hospital/trust NHS community trust/hospital NHS mental health trust or provider NHS ambulance service Primary care Local authority (e.g. social care provision) Independent provider Followed by a comments box with ‘Location & Reason’

Add patient Date of Birth & Date of Death in detail bar

In this top section to add in Date of Birth and Date of Death as we have hospital information but for community death we do not have this information. This will then allow for us to have identifiers visible when using tablets.
